Who We Are
Empower MCR is a Manchester-based alternative education and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision supporting children and young people aged 8–19 who are disengaged from mainstream learning or struggling with emotionally based school attendance. We combine education, creativity, physical activity, and wellbeing support to help young people rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and thrive. Our trauma-informed and neurodivergent-inclusive approach places the young person at the centre of everything we do, supporting them through 1:1 mentoring, creative workshops, movement and outdoor experiences, and academic online learning in Maths and English.

We work in partnership with schools, colleges, families, and local authorities to deliver structured 12-week intervention programmes that focus on early intervention, prevention, and long-term positive outcomes. Whether the goal is reintegration back into education, progression into further training and employment, or simply restoring a young person’s belief in themselves, Empower MCR creates a safe, supportive, and aspirational environment where every young person feels heard, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential.
